Q How did Pachycephalosaurus fight?

- A Smashing their heads directly against each other
- B Ramming their heads into the opponent's neck or flank
- C Ramming their heads into the opponent's face
B Ramming their heads into the opponent's neck or flank
The top of the skull of a Pachycephalosaurus was incredibly thick.
However, its neck bones were relatively thin and not built to withstand heavy impacts. If they had butted heads directly, the sheer force of the collision would have likely snapped their necks.
Because of this, researchers now believe they fought by ramming their domed heads into the necks or flanks (sides) of their rivals.
