Description

Avimimus was a member of the bird-like group of dinosaurs known as oviraptorosaurs and was particularly notable for its lightweight body.

It lived in semi-arid regions and may have eaten both small animals and plants. It had a long neck and long hind legs, as well as a small, rounded head. Instead of teeth, it had a sharp, sturdy beak.

Although it had feathers, it’s believed that it could not fly. Because of its very long hind legs, it is considered one of the fastest dinosaurs.
